Cab ride from hell !!!!!!

Words can't describe the cab ride to the restaurant. My knuckles were white. I kept telling Robin "just don't look". We all went to a Muslim restaurant where there specialty is Lamb. Mmmmmmmm . The Muslim cook very spicy, and I mean spicy. They gave us dessert saucers to eat off of and chop sticks to eat with. Yes, that is what I said no silverware. I had Ali on my lap grabbing everything she could so no chop sticks for me. Just fingers. I didn't need to use very many fingers bacause I didn't eat much. They keep bringing dish after dish of food for us to eat. Each one keep getting better. The last dish was lamb soup. It was soup that they cooked the lamb bones in. I hate to say it but, Ali liked it. I must say these Chinese people are so friendly. Even though the food was differnt there was tons of it and it only cost us less then $10 a couple. After the meal we had to climb back in the cab and pray we made it to the Hotel. Today we took Ali across the street to what I would call a court yard. There were hundreds of pigons walking around and people feeding them like we feed ducks. The pigons would fly and land on people's arms and eat out of there hand. Ali had a big time with that. While we were there I looked around at all of the people and told Robin just think Ali'e parents could be one of these people. It really got to me as we walked back to the hotel. I thank God that her parents loved her enough to leave her somewhere where she would be found. Like Robin said tonight, we flew to the other side of China for a reason, and that was to get the little sweetheart that was meant for us.I will try and post in the morning but it is going to be kind of hetic. We fly out at 2:40 but we are leaving at noon and we have our paperwork to get together and getted packed. We have Ali's passport so they are letting us take her out of China.
Good night from our last night In Ali's province.

Hey guys,

Well, it would be my worst nightmare to walk through a bunch of pigeons (beaks & claws) and have one of them land on my arm, so I guess I won't be going to China. (Not to mention the lamb soup!!) Yummy! I couldn't quite tell what all the food was.
Ali just keeps getting cuter & cuter and the clothes you have on her are adorable. No wonder your suitcase was heavy, you must have packed a ton for just her. Anyway, she is adorable. Have a safe trip out of Urumqi. I'm sure you'll be so busy that the time will go really fast.
Love & prayers,
Cheryl

Sorry to say but I'm glad your eating that food and not me.Nasty!I think you got ripped of on the $10 from the looks of things.Just remember Mom when Gina and I was going thru our adoption we always said "That everything happens for a reason" Thats why you have Ali. She was born to be You and Dads.By they way we found some great info on some new countries to adopt thru like Taiwan,an Panama. Not too bad on cost or travel. I favor Taiwan it's half the cost of Guat.and 3,000 less then China. Pretty cool A. Gotta run, Love Ya.

Love
Andrew,Gina,and Sydney
