Paperwork all done here in Urumqi

We signed the last paperwork this morning at the police station. That is where we applied for her passport. Our paperwork is done until we go to Guangzhou. I say heck with the paperwork and let us come home. We Anderson's don't like being away from home. Our guide took us to the supermarket late this afternoon and that was quite an experience. Some how Robin ended up down the FRESH FISH asile and I thought that he was going to lose what little bit he had ate for the day. Then we were all off to some Pizza place for supper. What ever happened to pepperoni and cheese pizzas? Ali is such a good eater. She eats everything that we give her. High chairs seem to be in very short supply so it is hard to eat and feed her. She has been doing to good on the potty. She goes everytime I put her on the pot. I have been wearing dipers on her just in case, so when we went to the Pizza place I thought I would take her to the pot to pee. Well, guess what? It was the old squaty potty. (a gross one at that). I stood there and tried to figure out how I was going to hold her in the air so she could go. I decided to just let her go in her diaper. We sat and read the e-mails this evening. I just want to thank everyone for all your support. Without our family and all the support that you have given us this would have never happened. Ali is starting to show her personality now and seems to be the ring leader of the group. At one point today Robin ask me if I had given her Chocolate. I take snacks (Cherrios, Teddy Grahams, candy corn) with us when we go out and I keep them in the backpack. She now digs in the backpack looking for the container with the snacks. I could go on forever about her bacause I feel we have been so blessed but, I am so tired and we are off to the orphanage tomorrow. Buy the way, no pool for us. They say the water is very cold you have to all wear shower caps and they give you rubber shoes to wear. I am afraid we would miss our flight to Guangzhou with them trying to find a pair of shoes to fit Robin, but then again wouldn't that be such a nice family picture?
Good night from Urumqi

Hey guys,
Mom & I were just talking & we wondered if she talks at all & if she is having a hard time understanding English. As you can tell, you're the the main topic of conversation!! Maybe you can let us know in your next post.

Hey guys!
I just read your post and I want to thank you for leaving so many updates about your experience in China. It is so much fun to check the site all the time for new updates and pictures. I don't seem to get anything done because I keep getting online to check for more pictures. She is just absolutely adorable!!! We all really feel that we are right there with you. It means so much to be able to see through pictures and read about what you guys are doing. Ali is one lucky little girl - and entirely TOO cute!
Hmm...I'm thinking someone deserves a big welcome home party. :)
Enjoy the last few days in China and hurry home!

Jessica, a party is definitly in order. I say my house the Sunday after they return. Sharon I expect you to be there too. Mom I'm sorry I am lacking in the babysitting of your youngest--wait he's no longer the youngest---he's one of the elders now--anyway sorry I have not been keeping a close enought eye on him which is obvious from his last post. Dad if you and Ali get any happier together I think I'm going to be jealous. Just kidding. Grandma you are too funny with the whole Ali/Abby thing. Thanks mom for keeping us up to date. I feel like she has been ours our entire life. I can't wait to hold her! The pictures this time made me cry again. You too are really special and we thank you for bringing her into our lives!!! We are so lucky to have all three of you. Ali, look out Kell wants a piece of you already.
