Journey to Ali

Like cold water to a weary soul, is good news from a distant Land. Proverbs 25:25

It's official

I guess we will be bringing Ali home. We are officially her parents, weather she wants us or not. We went today and signed a bunch of paperwork and we are finishing up tomorrow. Ali is having a rough night tonight. I think she is cutting back teeth and she is having her grieving time. She wants Robin to hold her and sometimes she just looks around and starts sobbing. It really is heartbreaking. I think we are going to the orphanage tomorrow. When we arrived yesterday it was probably 72 degrees and today it is raining and 30 degrees. Adam,I brought Nickell's old pink winter jacket and it looked so cute on Ali. She still is congested but, I think it is getting better. I feel like we have been here for about 3 weeks. I think I have found another way the Chinese have helped the population problem. There matresses are just like cement slabs.(Catch my drift). It actually makes your body hurt. The food is a little more like ours here in Urumqi. We had a burger and fries today. I just keep telling myself that the burger was beef, because it was really good. Robin ordered it room service and when we bit into the burger it had a fried egg on it. He must have not read the fine print on the menu. (Ali liked the egg).We feel really lucky to be traveling with the couples we are with. We all get along so well. I guess there is a really nice pool here in the Hotel (speaking of Hotel ours is beautiful). I think Robin is taking Ali swimming. Stay tuned for some very special pictures.
Good Night from Urumqi

I printed some of the pics and took them down to Mom and Dad. They send their congratulations.

Mom says you are brave, and adds what you told her when she was pregnant with Olivia "better you than me"
She is adorable
We will see you at Thanksgiving, I am sure the girls will Love playing with Ali, they are almost the same age.
Love,
Heather, Rob, Riley and Maggie

Good luck at the orphanage tomorrow mom and dad. If they are handing out free little girls at the door go ahead and pic one up for me. Preferrably one that looks like Ali (since she obviously takes after me)
Love ya, proud (older but not too much older) sis Angel

For just about 2 seconds I want one, but Jim said that I would have to have someone else to get one. So I will just stick with my dogs.
She looks so cute and of course so color co-ordinated. You all have more guts then I do. Vickie do they have Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke or do they even have any of that?
Get home so that I can come and see her myself. I will come up when you feel it is a good time.

After the disagreements and doubts of this adoption I'm lost for words that you did it anyway. Gina and I went threw the same thing. The only difference is 20+ years in are ages. Appearently that doesnt matter to that little princess in all these wonderful pictures. I can only hope when I turn 50 Im able to make a childs dream come true like you two have. Gina and I are truly proud of you guys.
